Vegan FAQ’s

+ What does vegan mean?

‘Vegan’, ‘Vegan Friendly’ and ‘100% Vegan’ means that the products do not contain any animal ingredients, animal by products or any animal-derived ingredients for example honey and beeswax.

+ Are your products tested on animals?

No, none of our products are tested on animals. In order to be registered with The Vegan Society and certified Halal no products can be tested on animals, it’s also not something that we feel is necessary.

+ What vegan certification do your products hold?

Our products are registered with The Vegan Society.

+ How do I know that your products are vegan?

All of our products are registered with The Vegan Society. You can tell this by looking at the label which holds the Vegan Society logo. You can also see which products are vegan by visiting the product page.

+ What products are vegan?

All of our products are vegan apart from the Eco Razor and Eco Razor Blades.

+ Does vegan mean cruelty free?

No, vegan does not mean cruelty free. However, all Fair Squared products are registered with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

+ What is the difference between ‘vegan’ and ‘vegetarian’?

Products that are vegetarian do not contain ingredients which were part of an animal, for example beeswax, honey, egg whites (albumen), milk protein (casein) etc. Whereas vegan products do not contain anything that has come from an animal.

+ What is the difference between ‘vegan’ and ‘halal’?

The term ‘vegan’ means that no animal-derived ingredients are in the product, ‘Halal’ means that no alcohol, or forbidden ingredients are used.
